Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls:

  • We wanted to make our congregation aware that the Roanoke church has elected to adopt two Christ-centered outreach-type youth ministries that will hopefully reach many for Christ in our surrounding communities: Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls.Trail Life USA is an outdoor adventure program designed for boys Kindergarten through 12th grade to challenge them to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, develop leadership skills and to Walk Worthy of the Lord. To learn more or for questions you may go to https://www.traillifeusa.com/ or contact Bros. Byron Gerber, Ed Sauder, or Jon Schwind.American Heritage Girls is a program designed for girls Kindergarten through 12th grade to build women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country. To learn more or for questions you may go to https://americanheritagegirls.org/ or contact Sis. Renae Lindberg.
  • We are looking to host an informational meeting sometime in April.
  • We hope to launch both of these troops starting in the fall with the 24-25 school year.
  • We would like to ask:
  • 1) For prayers as we finalize the chartering processes the God would lift up faithful men and women both in our congregation and in surrounding churches/denominations to serve in various capacities within each troop.
  • 2) For prayers for the youth and their parents that seeds of Truth can be planted in each of their hearts as they hear the Word and apply it through outdoor activities and adventures.
  • 3) If you feel led to serve in some capacity on a committee or other type of position, please contact Byron or Renae because we do have some positions that still need filled before we can be fully chartered.
  • 4) Even if you are not able to help out in an active role at this time, please still consider registering your children into these exciting programs.
