Scripture Memory Class is beginning their Scripture Partner Program for this school year. We are looking for individuals in church who would be willing to be partnered with a Scripture Memory student. Students will be matched with a willing individual from the congregation with a goal of connecting periodically on Sundays, along with sending some notes of encouragement. Most importantly, you would commit to lifting your student up in prayer throughout this school year. This is not a partnership that would meet outside of church. We pray this program can encourage our students, giving them a special connection with someone in church they otherwise wouldn't have crossed paths with. Scripture Memory class will begin this Wednesday evening, October 2nd. Students should meet in the dining room at 7:15. If you have a kindergarten thru 5th grade student, you should have received a welcome email with Scripture Memory Class info. If you did not receive an email, please contact Jamie Hodel.

College Care Packages - As a church body, we would like to remember our college students by praying for them, encouraging them and sending a small care package. If you would like to send a care package, you can pick up an envelope containing your student’s information on the bulletin board in the back hallway. Thanks in advance for your generosity and please be intentional about reaching out to them within 2-3 weeks of receiving their information. 

Lost & Found - Please check the lost and found shelves as it is getting full with clothes, toys, pans, etc.

• WOW will meet at 7:00 at Bertschi’s.
• Scripture Memory meet in the dining room at 7:15.

• HOPE will meet during church, in the church basement kitchen.

Thursday, 10/3

• Helping Hands will meet from 9am -3pm. Come for part or all, any amount of time is appreciated and welcomed.

• Tuesday, 10/1 - Sing at Eureka Nursing Home - upstairs activity room at 7pm.

• SALT Bible Study at Bri and Gabby Yordy’s at 7pm.
• LIGHT Bible Study at Stephen & Susan Bertschi’s land at 7pm.

• Sunday, 10/6 - Prayer Gathering - 9:00 am
• 10/31 - Harvest Party - The young group is planning the Harvest Party for 3 year olds - 8th grade. This will be from 6:30-8pm at the Fellowship Hall. This time is moved earlier than previous years in hopes that more kids will be able to attend.

Other Ways to Learn and Serve

• Loving Shepherd Ministries will be hosting a catered meal and charity auction for the vulnerable children of Haiti, Ethiopia, and the United States on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Five Points Washington. The meal and Silent Auction start at 5:00PM with the Live Auction starting at 6:30PM. The auction is a wonderful evening of fellowship and enjoyment while raising much needed funds to help the world’s most vulnerable children. • Bringing Hope - Thursday, October 10th 6:30-7:30 at The Hub (next to the Apostolic Christian Church in Normal. If you have a heart for abused/oppressed women in Bloomington-Normal, please join us. 
• Trail Life / American Heritage Girls Fundraiser Pancake and Sausage Breakfast - Saturday 11/16, 7:00-10:00 am at the Roanoke Park Building.
