Apostolic Christian Church
High school students sing at church holiday programs and other special events. Four Apostolic Christian Youth Fellowship (ACYF) singing events are scheduled each year. Students from Illinois Apostolic Churches gather at one location to get to know those from other congregations and to sing.
The song worship in our church is done a cappella, or without the use of musical instruments. This group of brothers is responsible for leading the congregational singing for all church services and activities.
Family Hymn Sings are held on Sunday evenings at various times throughout the year. The evenings consist of congregational singing and sometimes a special singing group or program.
Anyone from the congregation is invited to gather in the NH lobby on the 3rd Sunday of the month after the second service to sing several songs from the hymn books for the residents.
The Prairie Choristers are a volunteer a cappella choir that sings at church holiday programs. Occasionally, they are invited to sing at other Apostolic churches or events and the local nursing home. There are typically two times each year when new singers are encouraged to join the choir.
The Youth Choir is a volunteer a cappella choir for students from third grade through high school. The group practices at church on Sunday mornings, generally when school is in session. The Youth Choir generally sings at church holiday programs.
