  • Family Night - Bro. Ken Rinkenberger will be speaking on the “Conflict in the Middle East”. The evening will begin with a 6:00 pizza supper, with congregational singing beginning at 6:45, followed by the presentation at 7:00.  Please sign up for pizza with the following link: October Family Night Sign-Up Link


Young Group:

  • Tuesday, 10/22 - Sing in the upstairs activity room at the Eureka Nursing Home at 7pm.
  • Saturday, 10/25
  • SALT Topical Study at Ethan Hoffman’s at 7 pm.

New Converts - We rejoice with Brady Leman (Bro. Scott & Sis. Erin) and Grace Hoevelmann (JJ & Patricia Hoevelmann from Dunlap ) as they have begun their walk with the Lord.


Berean Prison Ministry Bible studies are available and ready for grading in the north hall.


Looking Ahead:

  • The annual worship night for HOPE and ACTIVE has been changed to Wednesday evening, Oct. 30th at Nate and Jamie Hodel's shed from 6:45-8:30. Supper will be served. Students are encouraged to bring a friend or classmate to join in the evening. 
  • 10/31 - Harvest Party - The young group is planning the Harvest Party for 3 year olds - 8th grade. This will be from 6:30-8pm at the Fellowship Hall. This time is moved earlier than previous years in hopes that more kids will be able to attend.
  • Hank Wettstein Benefit - Sunday, November 10th from 3-8 pm at The Hole Deal, 1411 Timberline Rd., Goodfield. It will be an open house with smoked pork dinner available for dine-in and carry out options. There will also be a silent auction and raffle baskets.  Below is a link to sign-up to help with some needs for the evening, and there is a sign-up sheet if you are willing to donate an item for the auction. Thank you for your loving support of the Wettstein's. We hope to see you on November 10th.

  • Change of Date for Thanksgiving Singing - Wednesday, November 13th as the November family night. More information to come.



National Church

  • The Silver Lining’s next reader-submitted article is set for January 2025. The topic is: How has God blessed you through working everyday miracles in your own and/or others' lives (Acts 2:22)? Please submit your contribution (length = 600 words or less) on this topic to features@acsilverlining.org by November 15, 2024. Anyone may also email that same address for writing support or clarification.
  • Hospital Lumiere Benefit Auctions – Item donations are needed for the virtual online and the In-Person auction. Auction items should be delivered to Gridley IL by Oct. 25.   • The Online Auction will be Thursday October 31 through Saturday November 2. 
  • In Person Auction will be Friday, November 8 in Gridley, IL, with a meal beginning at 4:00 and the Auction beginning at 6:00

Other Ways to Learn and Serve

  • Perspectives is a 15 week class on God's heart for the nations. The class will be held Monday nights, 6:15-9pm beginning January 20th in Washington. The first class is free.  Washington, IL S25 - Perspectives USA
  • Trail Life Fundraiser Pancake and Sausage Breakfast - Saturday 11/16, 7:00-10:00 am at the Roanoke Park Building.
