Sunday 5/22

  • Baccalaureate Service
  • Singing in Church Sanctuary - Immediately after service we will go to the church sanctuary to sing a couple of hymns with the Sunday School.  It is a good opportunity for everyone to see the progress of the project and praise God.  With the carpet and benches out and the acoustics are amazing.

 

Wednesday 5/25 - Hymn Sing from 7:00 - 7:30 prior to service

 

Summer Junior Volunteer Program at The Apostolic Christian Home - Applications (for any student 6th grade or older) neet to be turned in by May 25th.  For more information, contact Heather Simmons at the Home (309) 923-2071 ext. 114

 

VBS - We are looking forward to VBS which will be held June 6-10th.  Singing for students 3 years old through 8th grade will begin at 6:45. Students will be released around 8:05. Please sign up any friends your children will be bringing no later than Sunday 5/22. We still have a need for helpers. Please sign-up on the link below. There is also a sign-up for snacks to be served to students downstairs attached below. Thanks for your commitment to serve our students!

 

Church Remodel Update - Carpet installation will begin this week, risers, were built, benches are due to arrive the week of July 5th.  A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered again this week. 

 

National Church Events

  • Saturday 6/18 - The 6th annual HarvestCall Haiti Dairy Farm Benefit Dinner - It will be held in Bluffton at Neu-Hope dairy farm, with registration beginning at 11am ET and meal at 12 noon. A program will follow where attendees can be inspired with stories, challenges and opportunities that are happening at Good Vision Farm in south Haiti. Families are welcome to attend and registration is required at: https://www.harvestcall.org/awareness-events A poster about this event is located in the north hall bulletin board with more details.
  • Saturday 7/9 - Proclaim and Serve Conference at Goodfield  - Proclaim & Serve missions conference (proclaimandserve.org)  (Roanoke will be hosting this conference in 2023)
  • Friday 8/5 - Brotherhood Conference in Bluffton
  • Saturday 8/6 - Gateway Woods Annual Auction
