• Hank Wettstein Benefit - from 3-8 pm at The Hole Deal, 1411 Timberline Rd., Goodfield. It will be an open house with smoked pork dinner available for dine-in and carry out options. There will also be a silent auction and raffle baskets.

Saturday, 11/16 - Trail Life Fundraiser Pancake and Sausage Breakfast - 7:00-10:00 am at the Roanoke Park Building. See “Additional Information” at the bottom of the announcements to learn more about Trail Life - what it is and ways to donate if you are unable to attend this fundraiser.

Sunday, 11/24 - Jonathan and Megan will be traveling to Belvidere church and are looking for any others willing to join in. They could use song leaders and Sunday school teachers to help out. After church they plan to sing at a local nursing home and eat pizza before heading home. We plan to meet at the high school parking lot at 8am that day. Please let Jonathan out Megan know if you are able to come along.

Sunday, 12/1 - Annual Church Christmas Caroling - We will meet at the Fellowship Hall at 4:00.

National Church

• The Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka has an opening for a Director of Finance.  This management position is responsible for the accounting functions of the Home. Interested individuals should contact  Kim Joos, Administrator at kjoos@each.org or 309-460-1201 for further information or to apply for the position.
• HarvestCall Winter 2025 Project will be in Jasper, Texas. This area was hit with massive flooding in April and May and then a hurricane in July, 2024. While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel. 40 volunteers are needed each week starting 1/12/25 and continuing through 3/28/25. Skilled and unskilled workers are needed. Online registration is required and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday Nov. 20th at   https://www.harvestcall.org/

• Perspectives is a 15 week class on God's heart for the nations. The class will be held Monday nights, 6:15-9pm beginning January 20th in Washington. The first class is free.  Washington, IL S25 - Perspectives USA

Additional Information

• Trail Life is a Christ-centered, boy-focused outdoor adventure ministry that the Roanoke church launched and chartered earlier this year.  In addition to more hands-on skills such as outdoor cooking, fire starting, ropework, map skills, etc., the boys also learn about heart issues including truth and integrity, stewardship, and respecting life to enable them to grow their practical skills and character. We get together 3-4 times per month and the boys learn these skills and topics at regular troop meetings, campouts, and service projects. There are Gospel Moments sprinkled into all of the lessons to keep us focused on Christ and the Bible as we learn.
• We are currently serving 33 young men from the communities of Benson, Congerville, El Paso, Eureka, Flanagan, Gridley, Metamora, Minonk, Roanoke, and Secor.
• In order to keep fees and dues low for the boys so that cost is not a barrier we are holding our first annual fundraiser to raise support from our church and communities.
